Cielo Blanco is in the Trinity Centre and has been one of favourites for a while. However, I hadn't been to the restaurant since becoming a pescetarian. I remembered that they had veggie and fishy food on the menu that was reliant mushrooms so I figured there would be plenty of options for me to choose from.
This month was Cinco de Mayo and while I'm not Mexican, I thought it would be a nice idea to mark the day for heading out for some tasty Mexican food. There was only one place to go in my opinion: Cielo Blanco.

Next month I am turning 28. While this isn't a landmark age and is still far enough away from 30 that I'm not freaking out (I don't think I'll actually freak out anyway), thinking about my birthday has made me realise a few things.
We all seem to have ideas about how our lives are going to go and what we're going to achieve by certain points. We celebrate the good things but also feel a bit like we've missed out when we don't manage to achieve what we wanted by these imaginary milestones. Previously, I have felt disappointed when I have failed to do certain things before a birthday, but this year, I am not in the same place. Here's why: Just like the past few months, May is making me smile for a number of reasons. While not every day is completely good, these things are helping me make it through the month:
I get asked a lot about my skincare routine and what products I like to use. My history of working for Lush and Superdrug means I have tried a lot of different products with mixed results, which I am perfectly happy to tell people about.
Although I've tried a lot of products in the past, I have now got my favourite tried and tested products that I don't like to move away from. So here is my daily skincare routine and all the products I use from top to toe: There are loads of ways to get freebies or discounts in Leeds, so it really pays to keep an eye out in order to get some great deals. One way to get stuff for free, as well as some pretty great discounts is to sign up for a Socialight card, especially if you want the chance to enjoy a few treats on the first Sunday of every month.
The Socialight card means you're entitled to discounts in some of the shops and restaurants located in The Light shopping centre on the Headrow in Leeds. I mostly signed up for it for the £5 burritos at Barburrito, but it gives you money off at the the Vue cinema, Browns, Zizi's and Fabrication, among other places. Once you have a Socialight card, you can also signed up for Socialight Sundays, which are the first Sunday of every month. A few different things happen on these days, including free swim sessions at Virgin Active, free parking, a free creche and a free cinema screening. |
