I've got some new beauty favourites this month, a few of which are courtesy of the subscription boxes I ordered for July. In fact, some of the items I've found recently have made me change my skincare routine and have got be considering moving away from the B. moisturisers I've been using for the last few years.

I've been looking for the perfect beauty subscription box for a while and after getting a Glossybox last month, I decided to get three others delivered this month - luckily, I had vouchers for two of them so didn't spend a small fortune.
It's really hard to judge which box to go for by looking at past boxes as they are so varied, this is why I ordered another Glossybox, as well as monthly boxes from Love Me Beauty, Birchbox and LoveLula. All of the boxes can be cancelled at anytime so you aren't tied into a contract for a year, which is great if you just want to try one out. Each box has it's merits, so here's what I thought of them all: Another week means another Motivational Monday. I need this as I'm already feeling shattered and the week hasn't even really begun. Today is also a sad day for me and my family so I'm trying to be positive and not dwell on upsetting things.
Although the husband and I have lived in Leeds for just over three years, we haven't really got involved with the local community too much. That's not to say we don't talk to people, we chat we the neighbours and there are a few people in Armley town that I talk to when I go shopping, but we haven't gotten involved like we - mainly I - used to in Penryn.
I decided that this needed to change so I joined a few local groups on social media so I could keep up with what is happening in the area and help out when I can. This is how I saw that volunteers were needed for selling programmes at the Kirkstall Festival. One of my favourite ways of keeping in touch with people is buy post. I know it isn't exactly the quickest form of communication, especially when you consider email, phone and text messages, but there is something really special about writing a letter.
This is why I think it is such a shame that so few people choose to put pen to paper in order to keep in contact with people, and why I am determined to push my letter writing further. |
