- Of course, our annual holiday abroad has made me feel incredibly happy. Soaking up the sun and getting away from the stresses of everyday life needed to happen before I snapped.
- I started learning to drive a couple of months ago and things are going really well. Two days before we left for Menorca, I passed my theory test and was able to book my practical test. I'm keeping my fingers firmly crossed!
- Basically living in the water always makes me happy, but getting to swim in a saltwater pool while the sun is blazing down in October is extra special. I already miss swimming so am looking forward to hitting the local pool ASAP.
- I'm a sucker for any scented products, but October means warm and spicy fragrances, which are some of my favourites so I have a great excuse to stock up.
- Making time to read some great books is always easier said than done, but I've been enjoying devouring some good reads this month and it has been awesome. I'm especially loving Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials right now.
- I may be missing the warm weather of Menorca, but October is giving me plenty of excuses to wrap up warm in new knitwear. There's no better season for fashion as far as I'm concerned.
- Getting up early to walk to work may be a killer - especially as I've injured my foot but still want to keep up my step count - but when you get views like this on the way into the city, it's almost worth it. Leeds really is pretty.
- Autumn just tends to make me smile. I love this season so much for so many reasons. It's so colourful and beautiful, even if it is fairly cold and wet.
- Last but not least, autumn means Halloween, which is always awesome. Plus it means there's some great ornaments in the shop right now that are going to become parts of my decor all year round. I've even remembered to pick up sweets for the trick or treaters this year.
