I drinks it all of the day,
I am a Cider Drinker,
It soothes all me troubles away
One cider that I am particularly fond of is Rattler Cyder, produced by Healeys in Cornwall. Not only is it a nice strong cider, it comes in a few different flavours, tastes amazing and reminds me of home whenever I have a glass.
Sadly, since moving to Leeds I have had to make do with ciders that pale in comparison, as Rattler doesn't make its way up north. Or so I thought...
After years of disappointment when I've checked in specialist alcohol shops and not finding my cider, I had to do a double take and then was far too excited to take a decent photo when I saw crates of Rattler stacked in the window of The House of Trembling Madness - which is definitely worth a visit if you have a favourite obscure alcoholic beverage.
While I couldn't carry a crate around York with me and get it back to Leeds on the train, I was able to purchase a couple of bottles to take home and enjoy.
Now that I have found somewhere to purchase my favourite beverage, I can see regular cider runs in the future - which means I have a great excuse for more excursions to York. Happiness really is a fridge full of Rattler Cyder.
