Here is some of my birthday haul and my review of everything:
ASOS Exclusive SkinnyDip Flamingo Crossbody Bag
The bag looked just as it did online, although the person that packed it bent the neck of the flamingo so it is a bit wonky despite my best efforts. The clasps are also in slightly odd places, which works if you are wearing it across your body but not so much if you're just wearing it on one shoulder.
You can't really use this bag every day, as it is quite small but it is ideal for a night out or if you don't need to carry your laptop to work.
Sex and the City DVDs
I have to say, I was hooked straight away and really enjoyed the whole series so I had to buy both movies for my birthday. The first is much better than the second but they are both a lot of fun and have made me want to buy the series on DVD now too.
Primark Goodies
I ended up with a Slytherin night shirt (I'm keeping an eye out for a Gryffindor one too), my sunglasses that were reduced to £1.50 and a broad-brimmed sunhat to match the bikini I knew I wanted and that was only £4 in comparison to the £12 one I'd been looking at elsewhere. The Harry Potter nightshirt is really good quality and incredibly comfortable while everything else is pretty sturdy. You can't really go wrong with Primark for cheap and cheerful accessories.
Yours Clothing Bikini
Not only do I love how this bikini looks - I had been eyeing it up ages - it feels great on and is really comfortable, even though I had to buy a couple of sizes too small. We'll see how it does when we're in the south west and on our anniversary holiday but I am really glad I bought it.
Paperchase Goodies
The stackable boxes were actually in the sale for less than £5 so I also got some nautical sticky notes just because they were cute. I'm sure I'll use them for something (probably).
Irregular Choice Cherry Dazzle Pants
They are even nicer in real life and have low enough heels to be comfortable for wearing throughout the day. They are a little tight, but shoes are easy enough to stretch with a hairdryer and pair of thick socks, never mind the fact that I'm losing more weight so they will soon fit better. Now I just have to resist buying the matching bag too.
Dolly and Dotty Dresses
He still wanted to get me something though, so we chose some dresses together and he treated me to them. We ordered from Dolly and Dotty, which is my new favourite brand - you can find out why here. They are really pretty and I have a few at the ready for when I've lost more weight.
NYX Lipstick
I was eyeing up the pink when talking so he snuck off to buy it for me. He did the same with a Lush face mask later in the day too, just because he is too sweet.
So there you have it, my pretty excellent birthday haul. There were a few other little bits and pieces too that I received throughout the month, but I'll be reviewing those in full later on. I'll also be having a belated birthday meal when I can eat solids again because one celebration is never enough.
