However, I will always give any other products a try and have several on my wish list just begging to be bought. I managed to get Peel & Polish just before Christmas as part of a reduced gift set, which is one of the products I've wanted to try for a while. Although the combination of Glow Mud Cleanser and my Balm Balm Organic Muslin Face Cloths mean I don't have to exfoliate very often, I still need something to give my face a gentle scrub on occasion.
What intrigued me about Peel & polish is the fact it isn't a standard face scrub. It is described as being a "resurfacing concentrate" and is actually an enzyme peel. Essentially, it's a treatment you'd usually shell out for at a salon but you can use it in your own bathroom, with a tube costing £26, which is less than you can expect to pay for a decent facial.
In fact, I sometimes don't leave it on for the full 2 minutes - sometimes only leaving it for around 30 seconds - and it still does the trick. Every time I have used it, my skin has been left feeling smooth, soft, toned and fresh. I've had no issues with irritation, which exfoliating often leads to, and I'm not left with redness. While I usually try to exfoliate at night to better allow my skin to rejuvenate, I have found that I'm able to use Peel & Polish in the morning without any issues.
After using it, my skin always looks brighter and healthier, while my pores always look smaller, especially when I follow up with Glow Tonic. While the product instructions say to use it two to three times a week, I find that once really is enough as it is so effective. The only time I'll use it more often is if my skin looks a bit dull, as it is a great way to increase circulation and leave my face looking less tired.
Once again, Pixi has really come through and I've been left beyond happy with my purchase. I get on so much better with Peel & Polish than other traditional scrubs that I've used and it has helped my skin look and feel so much healthier. While it can seem like a lot of money to spend on one product, I won't have any hesitation about replacing my tube when it eventually runs out, which will probably be towards the end of the year.
I really do, wholeheartedly recommend this product and other Pixi Skin Treats products. You can give it and two others - including Glow Tonic - a try with the new Fast Flash Facial Gift Set, which is only £20. It includes three travel-sized items that are ideal for testing out before investing in full-sized products. I warn you though, after trying them, you'll be hooked.
