Not only has this meant that I've been happier all round - which is a really great feeling following several months of dealing with my depression - it has allowed me to leave the house every day feeling beautiful, which is a very new feeling for me.
Even on days where I've been running late, haven't had a chance to wash my hair and my makeup hasn't gone to plan, I've felt great; so much so, I've actually started taking full-length photos of myself.
I didn't see my size or the areas that I usually choose to hide. Instead, I saw my glossy red hair, dress that I had picked out months ago and that I absolutely loved and the shoes and bag my husband picked out for me for Christmas. This coupled with the lovely comments I had received about my look, made me feel really good.
This is what helped me to pluck up the courage to take my bikini photo, which is now one of my favourite pictures.
This has meant that for the last week or so, I have been taking full-length photos to showcase my outfits and have been sharing them on Instagram, as well as fan groups for the brands I love. Not only has each one made me pretty great, I've had some lovely responses and have encouraged other people to buy some of the dresses I've been wearing. I love that these pictures have helped others with their confidence, especially as I know how they feel.
I'm going to keep taking photos of my outfits because I like starting my day feeling positive and because my gorgeous dresses deserve to be showed off. These will also let me see how my body changes over the coming months, which I think will be important in terms of staying body positive.
