However, I am trying to get back on the blogging wagon and what better way to start than with a positive blog? I haven't been up to much this month due to the above reasons, but I have enjoyed some specific things that have made me smile. So, without further ado, here are ten great things about November:
It's not hard to miss the fact that I've been ridiculously quiet this month. No, I haven't given up on my blog, I've just been fighting Seasonal Affective Disorder, which has left me feeling exhausted and run down. Couple this with the fact that I now feel the cold so badly (the main downside of losing so much weight) that I find it hard to concentrate in the evenings. However, I am trying to get back on the blogging wagon and what better way to start than with a positive blog? I absolutely love taking photos and putting them up throughout my house. For years, the husband and I didn't really bother printing our photos or putting them anywhere beyond Facebook and Instagram, but this changed when we got married and we had so many great images of the day.
Since then, I've made it my mission to fill our home with photos and to keep taking pictures to remind us of great times. While I love choosing frames and using them to display our pictures, I've been saying for ages that I want to get some canvas prints made. It's not surprising then that I jumped at the chance to try out Photowall, which offers canvas prints and wall murals to suit every size home. Even better, the company makes environmentally-friendly canvas prints, which is a huge plus, especially as you can get 20% off orders using the code photowalljoannacampaign2017. Autumn has well and truly begun and Halloween is here, both of which are things that I love. The only downsides to this month have been the cold weather and the darker days, which always make me struggle. At least I have an excuse to go to bed earlier and indulge in the odd hot chocolate, which I'll never complain about.
I may have been fairly quiet this month - as with September - but I've really enjoyed it. I'm working my way through my mountain of partially written blogs, but more than that, I'm making time for other things I really enjoy and am making sure I balance work, home and play. This may be easier said than done some days, but on the most part, it means there is a lot that has been making me smile this month. Here are just ten things: Yes, I am still alive. I don't think it has ever gotten so late in the month before my first blog has gone live, but this says a lot about how busy I've been during September.
So far this month, I've started my new job, been on holiday for two weeks, gone for numerous meals out and visited several new places; all of which I'll be doing my best to write up soon. As you may have guessed, all of this has left me feeling absolutely shattered, but I'm also really happy. While I have been left feeling like I need another holiday to fully rest up, I've also really loved this month and have felt challenged by it. I'm enjoying my new role - even if I am finding my feet again for the second time this month after my holiday - and I loved seeing friends and family. There's a lot to smile about and look forward to during the next few months, but here are just ten things that have made me happy during September: I feel like I've started every one of these blogs this year talking about how busy the month has been, but the same definitely goes for August. Luckily, a lot of the stuff keeping me busy this month are good things and a lot of changes, which have got me fairly excited. In fact, I've found it hard to pick just ten things that are putting a smile on my face, but here they are:
