I cannot believe that it's November already and that we'll soon be saying goodbye to yet another year. While the awful news that the world is going to be subjected to a Trump presidency - because let's face it, that will affect the world and not just the US - has shaken me a bit, I'm still looking on the bright side. With that in mind, here are ten things making me smile this month and a reminder to be positive when you can:

Since the start of May, I have lost five stone, which is absolutely amazing. I recently had another band fill, which seems to have done the trick and got me losing more quickly again after a few weeks of staying the same.
My 10ml gastric band now has an 8ml fill and it seems that I have finally found that sweet spot. While I felt a difference after my previous fill, it didn't take long for my appetite to return and I found that I could eat larger meals. However, after this most recent fill, my meals are staying small and I don't feel hungry that often. Here's how things are going so far: I was a bit slack on the blog last week, which isn't how I wanted to start the new month. Walking so much every day and having so much to sort out at home has left me tired so the last thing I wanted to do was write blogs. However, I've had a good sleep this weekend and a rest day, so I am raring to go. Here's some motivation to help you get ready to face the week:
Over the last few months, I've been walking a lot more and have actually really been enjoying it. I started off just going for meandering walks around my local area as I built up my stamina again - my office job means less time on my feet compared to when I worked in retail - and ended up walking into work as much as possible during October. Over the last week, I've been walking to and from work, as well as being on my feet as much of the weekend as possible. In fact, the only day that I don't end up walking around much is Monday, as I walk from home - although I still do steps on the treadmill. While racking up the steps and burning calories has been great and is helping me lose more weight, I've actually loved seeing different areas of Leeds. |
