September is always a good month for me and this year is no different. A lot is happening and we have things to look forward to that are getting me through the less fun aspects of the month. I definitely have plenty to smile about beyond these 10 things.

It's now passed the three-month post-op mark with my gastric band and I am honestly so happy that I took the plunge and had it done. I've now had two inflation sessions (the second one was actually worse than the first) and I'm booked in for my third one at the end of the month - just in time for our next holiday.
I'm now down four stone and so many dress sizes that my wardrobe goes from massive to sort of fits me. In fact, I'm hoping to be able to wear a few of the outfits that have been hanging around in there for years pretty soon, which would be amazing. To keep you all up to date with what's going on, here's what I've been dealing with over the last few weeks: You may have noticed that blogs were few and far between last week. This is because totally failed to get motivated and start writing after a day of forcing myself to write for work - I really don't think the muggy weather helped! I'm determined to give you more to read this week - there are 11 blogs started in my draft folder so that's a good start - which means starting today with plenty of motivation.
To help you get going this week - as well as me - here's some motivational quotes: If there's one thing I love in life, it's a good cocktail. This is why I was super happy to get an invite to the opening of Epic Cocktail Club in Leeds, even more so because I was able to take the husband with me.
Cheap date night aside, my husband can be quite critical of cocktails - previously, he's only really liked those available from Be At One - so having him help me review a cocktail bar works in my favour. I'll start off by saying that we were both quite impressed with Epic, not least because we were handed a free drink the minute we'd walked through the door (even though there was some confusion as to which name my entrance was booked under). In fact, the husband is actually happy to go back again, which is a very good sign. Another month another Monday. As getting out of bed this morning was quite painful - I'd much rather be snoozing with a couple of cats curled up next me - I definitely need some get-up-and-go this morning. If you're also struggling, here are some motivational quotes to get you on your way and through the rest of the week:
