Two years doesn't seem like a lot of time and it has gone so quickly, but we've been through a lot during that time. While it may not be the longest marriage in the world - not yet at least - we've fought to stay together through many trials and tribulations, and I think that is definitely worth raising a glass to.
Today is mine and the husband's second wedding anniversary. Unfortunately, as it falls on a Tuesday this year, we're both working, but we had the weekend off together in order to celebrate and be romantic. We'll be exchanging gifts and having a meal tonight too in order to the mark the occasion, even if I do have to get up early the next day to be in the office for 8am.

After a great weekend off with the husband and our anniversary to look forward to look forward to tomorrow, the last thing I want to do is get to work and be productive. Sadly, this is what has to happen so this Motivational Monday had better give me the kick I need. If you're struggling today too, here's some positive motivation to help you out:
Yesterday we went out for an early anniversary celebration (we're both working on our actual anniversary), which included the husband taking me out for lunch. When he asked me where I wanted to go, I think he was expecting me to opt for somewhere fairly pricey and with seats, but all I wanted was a bourek and some mint tea from Cafe Moor in Kirkgate Market.
Cafe Moor is one of my favourite places for street food in Leeds, especially as they have vegetarian and pescetarian options that are absolutely delicious. I've been meaning to take the husband for ages, but haven't got around to it so a Saturday off seemed like the perfect excuse to indulge. There are a number of places that I've come across throughout Leeds at random points and that I've intended to go back to at a later date. One of these that I haven't had a reason to go to but always really want to is Just Grand! vintage tea rooms in the Grand Arcade.
I found the tearoom a couple of years ago when getting my hair cut but just haven't got around to going in for a drink or food. Every time I've meant to go, something has come up and it hasn't happened, but last weekend (Saturday, September 9th), I arranged to meet some awesome fierce babes there for a catch up and I'm really glad I did. Yes, I know that August has come and gone, but my holiday put me behind on some of my reviews as I didn't get the products until I got back to work. As I like to give everything a good try before I give my verdict, I've held off on writing up the contents of my August LoveLula box until I had something more to say than 'the products smell nice' - which they definitely do.
Now that I've been using everything for a few weeks, I've got a better idea as to what they are like on my skin, and I have to say I am really impressed. Everything in this box was just as good as last months so I was really excited to get September's and give that a try too (which I am now doing). I definitely recommend signing up for a monthly beauty box as it is such good value for money and is the perfect way to try gorgeous products without having to pay through the nose. Here's what I thought of August's haul: |
