However, I am trying to get back on the blogging wagon and what better way to start than with a positive blog? I haven't been up to much this month due to the above reasons, but I have enjoyed some specific things that have made me smile. So, without further ado, here are ten great things about November:
- After wanting to get out of retail for ages, we got to celebrate my husband getting a new job this month. While it has been hard getting used to him working nights, it isn't forever and we've had weekends off together, which has been practically unheard of in years. I also love how unstressed he is when he gets home now, so we're just able to enjoy being together.
- The German Christmas Market is back! Words cannot describe how much I love it, especially when I get to go with some awesome babes for a much-needed catch up. I need to go more over the next few weeks, which is easier said than done now I no longer work in Leeds, but I'm going to make it happen.
- It's that time of year when I stock up on tickets and I have some fab operas already lined up for next year. The thing that makes it even better is I can now drive to the theatre so no longer have to wait forever in the cold for a bus afterwards! The opera is a lot more enjoyable when you can stay warm.
- Christmas lights are just making me happy and I can't wait to put our decorations up. This is my favourite time of year and I want to get into the festive spirit, so driving around and seeing all the lights is definitely helping.
- It may seem daft, but actually getting glasses I like has made a huge difference to me! I need to wear glasses most of the time but tend not to unless I have to as I never like my frames. Well, I finally got glasses I like and I now wear them all the time. The world is much better when it isn't fuzzy!
- What's Christmas without festive food and drink? I love mulled wine and gingerbread so stocking up has really made me happy! I also have mead, which is the nectar of the gods!
- I've been struggling with body image a lot recently (I'll be writing a blog about it soon), but I'm starting to feel more positive and realign how I see myself with the size my body actually is. This photo made me really happy as I actually felt great, even with no makeup on. I'm starting to embrace my thick thighs and am actually happy that they will never bee super skinny.
- November is all about cosy evenings. I've got a great collection of winter candles I've been enjoying, as well as my collection of hot chocolate. Even without the husband at home most nights, I've been able to sit back and relax (probably too much if I've not written any blogs!)
- Finally, it's almost Christmas! I love Christmas, especially a we are spending it at my parents' house for the first time in a few years. I also don't need to deal with trying to get presents on the Megabus, which is going to incredible!
